The Center for History is an excellent but under-recognized museum that chronicles the history of the St. Joseph River Valley. The former identity was considered "boring" and "staid," and therefore did not connect with the Center's primary audiences: families and school groups. The new identity speaks to younger generations by referencing contemporary design aesthetics while simultaneously respecting the area's important past. In addition to highlighting specific collections, the new identity emphasizes three main characteristics: friendly, fun, and approachable.
